I do actually, a 27mm Open Pave, will measure it when I can, actually got plenty of tyres in the shop to measure, probably easier that way.
That also explain why @TM have problem with his Clément Strada LLG in 28mm, having the same tread as the 25mm mean the sidewall is much more vulnerable.
Incidentally, Continental tyres tread increase as you go bigger, least that what I can tell from the 28mm and 25mm GP 4000sII I have.

28mm GP 4000s II have a generous amount of tread, abet way too big on 19mm internal.

This has a been incredibly dull to read, and I like tyre chat.

Chrz!

Doesn't really help though - I've had 3 or 4 sidewall fails with gp4000s....

Compass Chinook Pass 28mm ordered for the road bike. Much excite. Now lets just hope that they fit...

The green part is also the contact point, so 34mm front edge to edge on 27mm open pave.

I was just about to make a smart-arse comment about comparing onions to onions, when I had another look (and measured again).
The green band is indeed a part of the tread (rather than the carcass) and measures the same on the 25mm.
Not sure what the band offers in the way of grip, but I suppose it does afford more protection to the sidewall, compared to OC.

Quite likely to offer more protection.

Battery has run out but you can see that these vittoria pro corsa cx 25mm come out quite a bit bigger than advertised. Run beautifully though:

Sorting a Dolan FXE with some (stupidly bright) yellow Halo Aerorage wheels. Will be used for commuting and some winter training rides. In Scotland so expecting lots of rain and shit roads.
Thinking about some 28c Ribmos - any thoughts/advice?

Just had my first Open Pave / latex inner experience. Pavement and gravel. WOW just WOW.

Anyone used these before?

In light of all this contact patch/sidewall talk, can anyone advise whether a 23mm Conti 4 season on a 23mm rim will be an ok match? It's mudguard-fitting time again so I'm downsizing from a 25mm 4000s. I've been impressed with the 4000s but have read the 4 season grips better in the wet.

Been fine on HED Ardennes Plus, better puncture protection as well. You would like two new in box £60?

Thanks for the info.
Cheers for the offer but I'm just after one. Also don't live in London. -

No mention of Paves in the 2016 catalog... http://www.vittoria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Vittoria+Catalog+2016_EN_20150825_Full_pages_lowres.pdf
Just compared my 20mm and 23mm: both 19mm tread.
So they're sticking the same tread on 20mm, 23mm and 25mm carcasses!
Measured a 25mm Open Pave and that has 23mm of tread: I don't suppose you have a 27mm to compare?
