Segmented ones like Powercordz, Alligator. But pricey. Conti Supersonics with latex tubes would save a bit (and make you measurably faster) but delicate.

It's best to relax through. Never strain.

below 7kg
False economy. Get a CF frame.
My 6800/5800/7900 mix Ultimate AL weighs the same with no effort .. -

I'll have a look. Having said this bike will probably be ridden in the rain at some point, its maiden voyage yesterday just happened to be in the rain. So latex tubes are out.
FD is also having issues (obviously), is there a bike shop that could help in exchange for beers? Ive run out of favours with my LBS

Latex tubes are no less puncture resistant than butyl, if anything more. Probably the best £/s saving there is.
-

Get a CF frame.
Long term plan yes. For now this goes like shit off a stick. Best thing I've ever ridden. If I can get this down to 6.8, a CF frame would be sub-6kg with the same parts. I'm happy to wait

Now this won't lose much weight without you throwing a lot of money at it.
Even a mid range CF frameset can take it below 6.5kg I reckon.
Ride it as is till then.Edit: Noticed the pedals; get cheap speedplays off ebay and replace chromoly axle with Ti. Mine are 120g for pair with overall price of £50.

Latex tubes are no less puncture resistant than butyl
Is this true? Arent they a lot thinner and cant be patched?
-
• #60
I've patched latex tubes they work.
Dunno about their thickness but the material is light. They will pinch flat much less than butyl; if something makes its way through the tyre then the odds are same. -

Speedplays would be great but not that cheap if you factor in having to buy new shoes. All i have is MTB shoes atm and I dont want to start walking in road shoes everywhere
-

Is there any easy ways to drop some weight?
Full crabon fork - unless that's the hens teeth full carbon version it's gonna be porky.
Crabon tubs, obvs.
Which cassette is that? SRAM red or DA required for weenieism
Ti Speedplays, as above, but if you are limited to MTB then eggbeaters (Haterz etc)
Hollowgrams + spidey
My CAAD9 comes in around 6.9 with an SRM, so it can be done.

• #64
Have you weighed those pedals? All atacs I've played with are heavy.
-
• #65
And valve caps ;-)
-
• #68
Alu steerer. 3T or Enve would be the only forks that work visually I think.
Brand new Force cassette. I'll wait till this wears out before replacing
Hollowgrams wouldnt save that much weight. Cranks and chainrings are 525g already.
-
• #69
Cheap 3T Funda copies from China would save 300g and be <£80
-
• #70
Rear wheel has changed to an Aksium as that was a borrowed wheel. All valve caps have been burned.
Time atacs are staying for now as I use the same system for fixed. These are also the lightest atacs available
-
• #71
Fork weighs same as cranks; 525g. Still a decent £/g ratio. Can they be trusted though?
-
• #72
At least as trustworthy as an old aluminium frame.

• #74
Want to sell me all of the finishing kit? And how is it so light?

Want to sell me all of the finishing kit?
I kinda want it all out of the house, really.
And how is it so light?
SRAM red. Fulcrum Racing Zero tubs. Hollowgrams. MkV chainrings. Stupid crabon Arione saddle. Crabon Premium Slice fork, ti speedplays.
That took longer than I thought
