• yup... 5th anniversary I think. Now not a lot more expensive than stages for some of the models!

  • 40Nm I think, but worth double checking that.

  • Yeah p2m is a bargain now. And very good.

  • They dropped them just before Eurobike.

  • Don't know why anyone would buy a non P2M now, very few legit reasons.
They're going to take over a lot of market share really. Smart move.

  • The only drawback I see is the bank transfer thing. I know it's acceptable in Germany, but for the UK and other English speaking markets, they need to offer PayPal or credit card payment options.

  • You can pay by paypal.

  • I'd like to keep the group set cranks for my Serotta, and P2M don't do Shimano or there would be no issue, but as it stands I'll grab some p1's when I am in the U.S. next

  • Yeah, that's a fair reason. Aesthetics.

  • DCRainmaker had an article specifically regarding P2M price drop. I have no need for a powermeter but even I'm tempted at that price.

  • Just moved all my data into the new GC to check it out.

I've spend 30mins cleaning up data spikes.

Off the 50 or so. There are loads from Vector. A fair few from P2M. And None from SRM.

I do get quite a few power spike issues with P2M actually thinking about it. Anyone else? Maybe time to collect the files and contact them.

  • Did you use power on TCR?

  • I had 5 or so that a mate cleaned up.

I did protest that the 3310w was just a thigh flex.

    Cant say its common.

And yeah @Smallfurry it's not 'common' but maybe more common that i'd think acceptable on reflection. Will keep a better eye.

  • I hadnt noticed untill I moved my data to WKO.

Considering how amazingly fit'n'forget P2M is. Its a shame really.

  • From memory, in the whole of your TCR fit files you sent me, you had about 7 individual power readings that were into 4 figures. Two of them almost certainly ok (~1150W) but the rest were over 2000W with 2 or them over 5000W.

Can dig them out if you want.

  • Yeah that sounds right from what I saw.

I'm going to keep a note from now on about it happening and maybe contact P2M. It does seem excessive really.

  • Toying with idea of getting a power meter.
Any reviews on the stages meter?

  • Millions. Do a search of this thread.

  • Did a rollers cadence session this evening on the track bike with the powertap. Cadence numbers were up and down all over the place on the Garmin screen (fluctuating between 90 and 145) - so I just sort of ignored it. Numbers look okay in TP, but a bit off in strava.
    Any ideas?

  • Mine has always done that, I think it struggles a bit to work out cadence if your power is changing.

  • Ah, good to know.

  • The Powertap just guesses cadence from pulses in the power- if you want the real figure use a specific cadence sensor/cadence wheel speed sensor alongside the Powertap.

  • Lots of random cadence spikes. I certainly didn't hit 188rpm

  • kind of irritating when you have a target cadence though.
