A plan is forming in my head now for 2019. MiniGB will be 9 years old, perfect age for a mini cycle tour to Paris over the summer holidays...
Thu: Train (with bikes) to Newhaven, ferry to Dieppe
Fri->Sun: 3 day ride to SQY (via Avenue Vert), I go off to register/bike-check/etc
Mon: Start ride (6am on the 84h). Leave family to mess about in Paris for 3 days
Thu: 6pm cut off for 84h finish, drink, back to hotel, eat/drink, slump
Fri-Sat: Continue recovery, yomp about in Paris
Sun->Tue: 3 day ride to Dieppe
Wed: Ferry and train home
Thu: Back to work
Either a hotel or something like Huttopia in Versailles.
