  • My gf's Moto G did the same thing, we gave it up for dead and it sprang back to life a few days later...

  • I've had similar issues with my GF's Moto g as well.

  • THANK YOU. Just saved my GF £70 and generated loads of goodwill fixing her cracked Nexus 5 :)

  • Most of the options from fast boot end up hitting the white "empty battery" screen for a moment then going screen-off/blinking-green-led for about a minute before flashing the white battery graphic again.

Fast boot says "battery low", nothing about charging and the charger isn't getting warm.

  • Have you tried a different cable?

  • Many different cables and chargers.

  • Anyone know where to buy a reasonably priced Nexus 7 2013 digitizer and glass screen replacement?

  • Likewise for Nexus 4 please.

  • looks interesting : http://wileyfox.com

  • Indeed. Registered interest. May take a punt.

  • when are they available?

  • Sales supposed to start this week. Shipping of the cheaper one early Sept. Forget when the more expensive one was, but probs Oct.

  • Stupid question alert: it's running android right? Will I be able to move across everything from a a nexus 5?

  • My LG G4 is here and so far I like it a lot. Lovely and quick, nice camera, LG OS overlay not too shabby, knock to unlock, gorgeous screen, crappy speaker.

And a leather back. Like a pall mall gentleman's club of a phone. Mmmmm.

  • Yes, well a fork(?) of Android

  • Came here to post it. I'd be all over it, but the Moto G is about the same spec and it's waterproof, which means I don't need to wrap it up before putting it in the back pocket.

  • Moto G is waterproof? And same spec?

  • Not sure if serious.

  • Very much serious. I guess this is the 4th(?) gen that was just released?

So the phone priced to be disposable is now more robust and difficult to break. Amaze.

    ..

  • cant buy 16gb 4g in UK though

  • Yeah I can only find 8gb? Wtf is that good for?

  • looks interesting : wileyfox.com

Still on the lookout for my better half. I suggested the 3rd gen Moto G.

The cheaper, Swift, looks more powerful and the same price. What's the difference between Lollipop and Cyanogen?

  • Registered as well. Moto 4G was wat I was considering next but the Swift looks good.

  • First impression of Moto X Play - size is bigger than Nexus 5 but only a bit, not absurdly big. Screen is lovely. Not really had a chance to test the camera. 4G is nice - new to me and free on Three. Battery life is really fucking good, a really massive difference to my old Nexus 4. I used to use my Nexus 4 on really restricted settings to save battery and it would still be running out by 7pm without an in-day charge. Moto X Play is at 40% now after being unplugged since 6:30 this morning, and I have been rinsing it installing a tonne of apps, browsing on WiFi, making quite a few calls, playing Bluetooth music, and spent the last two hours playing Hitman (the shame). All of that on very battery intensive settings (bright screen etc). So I reckon the battery would last one very full day of intensive use or two days of light use easily. Call voice quality is for some reason a tonne better than my Nexus 4 too - is that to do with 4G? Overall it doesn't do much that my Nexus 4 couldn't, but it does it all lots better.

  • Oh yeah and it is water resistant apparently - not gonna be dunking it tho
