  • So I stripped the frame and went for a phosphate treatment and Matt lacquer. The phosphate will act as a barrier to rust but also discolour with age, a better option to Lacquering straight over raw steel. I've added a close up to show how the discolouring is already happening. Kept most of doms finishing kit, changed the saddle and crankset putting the camo AArn I managed to get my hands on. Stoked :)

  • grey with black (thomson)parts is a bit too safe choice for my taste but it's cool nevertheless.

also hats off for the 170€ chainring.

  • Looks great man, good work!

  • The treated raw is nice, looks different to how I thought it would. Does it need any special treatment now or later? Or is it just ride the crap out of it and let it get proper ratty.

  • that looks great! and also confirms my need for all black ribmos on mine. what size are they? how do they roll?

on that note would anyone want some gumwall 35c paselas?

  • Damn! That's nice. A different take on raw. Can you tell us more about this phosphate?

  • That refurb looks really good!
