Nice writeup @hippy...

For anoher time, we stayed in the Alliance Hotel around the corner from the velodrome, and despite just having the sat night booked were happy to let us leave bags there through the week and shower on our return.

Yeah, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I won't be making the same mistake again. The hotel will be as close as possible (I think they're building a new one right next to the 'drome) and of higher quality.
