Why not v speak to the rra bods about adding it?
Possibly because they specifically state "Record claims on other routes or in other categories are not considered by the Association"
Apparently Guinness is the record ratifier of choice for Lejogle, possibly using UMCA observers

I did a TT on my geared lo-pro this week. I remembered spinning out down the hills last time I did it on 85GI, so fancied gears would make me faster.
I went 30 seconds slower.
Gears are a lie.

True fact gears are just wrong

New 10 mile PB for me on the E2/10 today - 21:48 (geared). Far from ideal conditions, so I'm pleased with that.

A fine effort, especially as it was a bit windy and warm out today.

for all the hill climbers…

weight saved + fear of puncturing= ride faster? -

120g is ridic. Might pick one up as a spare.

• #10584
they're the lightest i've found for sale so far, have seen mention of tufo doing 100g tubs on order
-
• #10585
That's a third lighter than my Cronos, which are already pretty minimal!
-

Even if Tufo tubs weighed nothing, you'd still lose all the gain and more in extra rolling resistance.

True, my old 18mm Record Piste tubs were quite a bit heavier than that. Pretty sure the picture on the Merlin site does no represent the actual product, there's no way that tub has a breaker and still weighs under 4¼oz.

Really can't see them lasting very long on a flinty Cotswold road in October. To finish first, first you must finish etc.
-
• #10589
Looking at stupid tubs is more of a theoretical exercise really, probably going to end up with crono evos or similar
-
• #10590
I wonder if they fold up as small as the Elite Jet 130s I carry as an emergency spare
-
• #10591
To finish first, first you must get to the start, warm up, start and finish.
^ ftfy. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it...

Doesn't your butler drive you to races?
If not then I've ridden to plenty of races with race wheels on my back. Really need to get some old school wheel carriers.
-
• #10594
I've a pair you can have.
-
• #10595
For real? I'm interested, would complete the romantic anachronistic image of fixed HC'ing
-
• #10596
For real. I've used them for taking tubs to the track and cross races but don't use them anymore.

Can't imagine riding 281 miles in 12 hours and being third in my club!
Am looking at a 12 and thinking it looks like an interesting challenge given all the long distance stuff being accomplished at the moment both in tt'ing and general cycling!
Will do another 100 and see how I feel!

Jasmijn Muller and Jill Wilkinson tie the Women's 12, 256.77 miles each. Each now agonising over where they could have found 20 yards.

Damn!

How irritating, but how awesome to have an equal competition.
Even I have limits and I don't fancy doing a 12 whilst standing up. Think of the poor aeros!!! :P
