You're still going to have to measure it.
For differences of less than 1mm your only realistic option is spacers between the chainring and spider.
Seriously you think less than 1mm out on the chainline is really worth fixing?
I've got a convertion that's about 7mm off and it doesn't throw it's chain?!
Oh and the polo bike is way off in one of the gears...
Both bikes have singlespeed 3/32 chains.
