I saw a David Shrigly illustration that said "let us meet together and discuss important topics" in the Pinakothek der Moderne in München. I would love a print, or just an image, of it, but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone with ideas on what to do?

give him an email?

All opinions welcome :)
On balance, I would (and indeed do) take A2 Torx over A4 hex where that's the choice.

re-draw it yourself from memory; cheaper, and probably more enriching.

Great, thanks for the succinct answer.
Follow up question... torx security bolts (with the little dot in the middle). Are they worthwhile or am I just making faff for myself? -

torx security bolts (with the little dot in the middle). Are they worthwhile
They will successfully foil the very narrow segment of crooks who are too subtle just to chop your lock but too thick to bother to carry the very easily available Pin-Torx drivers. Security fasteners which rely on non-standard drivers are a form of security through obscurity , and Pin-Torx is nowhere near obscure enough to provide any worthwhile security.

Looking for an FSA Orbit MX crown race. Anyone got one spare?
They're a fiver here: http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/402/h6033/fsa-orbit-mxxufz-crown-race.html
The headset new is about £20.
Do I have any other options?

bb86 30mm bottom brackets - whats the best (cheapest) decent one?
-
• #70412
There is a decent updraft to draw the draw up the chimney with a window open (thanks for diagram @Clockwise). Perhaps the room is warm enough, I didn't have to resort to a beer can doobie to get it moving. Did notice the steam from my tea followed it up. @mdcc_tester how many steamy cups of tea compare to a log fire for spliff extraction purposes?
Attempt two went pretty well but attempt three introduced a whole new vector to contend with; nipping on the highest grade with a coffee this morning in starlet position on the floor, legs cocked, head supported and wrist flopped over coquettishly holding an elegent, ivory coloured shortie turning brown at the fat end, I was startled by a distant cooing before my draft vanished and instead of the pure sour tang of the goddess I got a cold waft of smelly old chimney air.
I think a pigeon might have sat on my chimney pot.
Maybe the convective encouragement of tea is greater than coffee? Maybe a gently grass-warmed chimney pot is irresistible to a pigeon's bot? @NurseHolliday do you suppose a larger ting ting will scare it off?
Bit worried tbh, a pigeon came down a girlfriend's chimney once and flapped around for ages and did a poo on her duvet so don't want to accidentally lure them in....

bb gun?
-
• #70414
Good idea, chimney is curved and bb's are hard to bend mid-air. I suppose I could shoot it from the garden but waving guns around outside defeats the point of hiding my criminality from next door's raving bloody mother who has now been complaining about how fat her daughter is and how they don't weed the garden enough for 3 days now. Usually she doesn't stay this long.... Looking now strictly for solutions that can be achieved from prone position at bottom of chimney with one hand occupied.

Keep a window open on the far side of the room.
Worship close to the chimney.
Problem solved.
PS - You have checked you've not got a chimney balloon jammed up there haven't you?

am being given a new road helmet as a birthday present, cant decide between a Giro Synthe or Kask Mojito, like the luxury and fit of the kask but like the idea of being a fast windcheating dude on a hot summers day.
and help would be welcome... or other suggestions, the Kask Protone is a bit spendy to be honest, and looks a little odd to me...
-
• #70417
Obviously depends how they fit your head, but I'd take the Synthe over the Mojito. Very pleased with mine so far, though I suspect it's not really particularly aero.

Anyone run TRP CX9 brakes and mudguards? Worried about clearance.
Using 35mm bluemels atm. -

bb86 30mm bottom brackets - whats the best (cheapest) decent one?
What cranks are you riding? if Shimano, get Shimano.
edit - did not notice 30mm, ignore, don't think they exist as BB86 is optmised for 24mm axles.
-
• #70420
They do exist. Rotor do one, as do enduro, raceface and a few others.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of them/ones to avoid. -
• #70421
Used them on my old Cross Check with 35c tyres/45mm chromoplastics, rubbed the guards a little but didn't affect braking.

So I'm putting some gears on my sliding dropout kona, any reason (other than neatness) that I shouldn't get this:

That'll slip and prove to be a right pain. £27 isn't too bad, I'd go for the proper part.

This post cracked me the fuck up

well I'd hoped to sort a 1x9 drivetrain for £50 and that puts a big dent in that budget!
If I can make sure it won't slip it'll be fine won't it? I'm not averse to popping another hole in it so it's mounted with another screw and can't move.Does it have to be at a particular angle?
Two questions RE bolts.
1) Is it worth find A4 stainless or is A2 good enough? (Riding all weather in London, not near the sea afaik).
2) Hex or torx? Torx makes more sense but the range is reduced. Accuscrew seem to have ony pan head torx bolts in A4 stainless, all other options are A2... (e.g.) Obviously this doesn't matter if A4 is massive overkill!
All opinions welcome :)
