for steve, 150-200 miles a day is resting
-
• #1003
He still needs to keep the legs going before he restarts. His 'rest' plan is to stop using an alarm clock and just start after he's woken up naturally.
I'm sure the miles before the restart will also be useful to contribute to a new 100,000 mile record.

If he stops a couple of days to rest it will be a bigger shock to his system than poodling along

"poodling along" at 200 miles a day.
That guy is magic.

Rest day, drop below 200; next day, crank it up to 260 as punishment. Amaze.
-
• #1018
I think that it dropped as he was off to Paris - Brest - Paris. So it probably was logistical as much as anything.
Amazing stuff.

• #1019
He's doing PBP?!
-
• #1020
I think so yeah.
-
• #1021
Seems so! Track him on http://suivi.paris-brest-paris.org/ with number T166

He's doing PBP?!
For an Audax rider of his calibre, that's a must. Some of those guys live for PBP and LEL (or other super brevets).
