Thanks... while I'm here, shootmorefilm took a lovely pic of my stem and new headset yesterday :) No idea how he made it look so shiny! Headset is just a Stronglight sealed bearing jobbie, with the logos wiped off with nail varnish remover. Great cheap alternative to Chris King? Time will tell...

I polished some parts yesterday (using a product called Sidol and a Dremel) and the result is comparible. Think if I repeat it a couple of times, it wil shine even more:

Thanks guys.

Yeah, it's cheap and probably not a very good seatpost. But for some reason I really like it in combination with a Flite and I think it suits the esthetics of a quill stem.
What are some nice black anodized seatposts? Nitto S65 comes to mind.

Awesome build Tijs, so clean.
Some Columbus MAX frame and fork decals would be a nice touch I think.

Marktplaats has them. Although the ad says SLX but I think that's probably a mistake.

But for some reason I really like it
Ignore the haters, it's a good post. It holds your saddle at the height and angle you want, what more do you demand of a seatpost?

I'd get them from ebay, Greg Softley's are great quality.

I think Tijs his bike would have looked a lot different had he not considered the visual impact of the parts. It's not really a functionalist's dream bike (nor is 99% of the other bikes on here). A small critique for using a cheapish looking seatpost is fair game.
I'd hate to see this place filled with 105 Cubes.

I actually have one of those, but it's seized in the frame it's on. Might be a sign/karma.
Yeah they are built into drop out .. using generic QR.
