The SRAM Racing edition is very vibrant, so the photo doesn't do justice, it look shitload better in real life.

Cheers guys, still a few CAAD10s out there then, a lot to think about

eBay is cheapest if you go for one in good condition. Check seller Feedback.

I'd quite like a ride on the crabonz Habit you see.
They do look fun. http://singletrackworld.com/reviews/cannondale-habit-carbon-2-first-ride/

Mine arrived from there last week and everythings fine, good communication with the shop and tracked through DHL & Parcelforce all the way to my house. I was tempted to hang on for a caad12 but didn't want to wait. I got a 105 in black for a couple of hundred quid cheaper than here in the uk. If I wanted to spend a bit more i'd go with the force racing edition.

Looking left to right, you have crank arm, non driver side spacer, optional 1mm spacer and then wave washer, and finally the bearing shield. This is the correct order of things.
The wave washer doesn't look particularly compressed, which is giving you the 'gap'. You could get a torque wrench and use it to check that the crank bolt is at the correct torque - which is about 40nm, stamped on the bolt itself. Do both the NDS and the DS. If both are at the correct torque, and there's no slide to side slop, you could leave things as they are. If there's some side to side slop or you feel something when you pedal, you can fit more 1mm spacers inbetween the NDS spacer and wave washer. You'll need the crank extractor tool to do so.
Pro-tip - pop some helitape on the crank arms to protect them from shoe rub.

Went to Evans West End today to have a look at their gloss black with green accents SuperSix Evo 105 5800. Looks good in person. Tempted to buy, and sell everything apart from the frame and fork. 50+ in the warehouse in my size apparently.

No, no green.

Mental cheap

Yes. There's hardly any green at all. It's not like the Ultegra version.
With these:

have you got helitape?
-
• #2466
No soz. Plenty of online sellers and equivalents around though

If I was you the only thing I'd do is swap tyres and crankset. Get BB30 checked over by a good shop. 5800 is plenty good.
-
• #2468
The only way you can 'check' bb30, short of any crank installation howlers, is by removing and fitting new bearings. Best to ride it until problems occur then get new quality bearings installed.

If I get that and swap parts or a CAAD10 frame, it'll be Ultegra, Zondas, and some parts I have from the previous build. The SuperSix as it is above is heavy. The frame deserves better / lighter kit.
-
• #2470
Chainset is fine, best to just take it apart, give it a good clean, greased, and installed as per the manufacturer specification.

The frame deserves better / lighter kit.
Or a better rider...

...and a p2max chainset obvs...

The SuperSix as it is above is heavy.

Hastily put together R400. A bit of a confused animal to be honest and I'm not sure what yo do with it.

Caad10 black frameset for £549 in 56, if you wanted to build it yourself / get it built. Not sure if Westbrook do the cycle scheme though. http://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/cannondale-caad-10-road-bike-frameset-2015-p278419?gclid=CPet9NPKoccCFXTMtAod1IoMAg
Add Shimano 105 or ultegra, finishing kit of choice and a good value wheelset from Superstar and you'd have a great bike for the money.
