The FMBs came presealed. It was the thing that tiped the Balance over the slightly cheaper Dugast.
But it appears the glue failed under the tread leading to a puncture on the PR, and the carcass has somehow failed on the silk tyre.
Both due to salt and water I reckon. They were pretty worn when they failed so I'm not massively disapointed. But cant see myself buying them again.

I guess silk sidewalls don't last long no matter how carefully you look after them.
The glue failure will be down to water ingress to the carcass, I would imagine.
I've sent a polite E-mail because I'm curious.
My feeling is that the washroom, my road bike is now stored in, hasnt allowed them to dry fully, or quick enough. I've taken to leaving the doors open. I think helps (my washing dries quicker at least).
