Something like a Schwalbe one is going to be Close to a 4000s I reckon.
Vittoria Corsa are the go to tub for racing (get iso-grip Version, not the old ones). They are the tubs most likely to be found at a good price. Veloflex are also awesome. But you tend to pay more for what really isnt a better tyre. I'd be looking at something like that. Contis have stiff sidewalls which have a negative effect on ride. Fine if you're heavy and hard on sidewalls I Guess.
For something more robust to pros like conti competitions its seems. But getting them in a decent casing size, and a decent price is a pain. I have vittoria pave on my training Wheels. As someone that likes to run the best riding tyres (FMB, Veloflex, Challenge etc.). I cant say I was exactly excited about trying my New 'robust' tyres. But Paves really do ride great, the iso-grip compound grips New wet tarmac well, and they come in bloody light for such a well protected tyre.
Also for TT use. There is another benefit of traditional, glued on tread, Construction of claasic tubs. The edge of the tread acts as a 'air trip', and makes them more aero. At least thats what the internet says.
