Acycles - Anyone used them?

    They have a UK site but appear to be French. Seem to get mixed reviews. Looking to spend a couple of hundred quid - should I pull the trigger or not?

    Yes - used them for about 50 quids worth of tyres. packaged turned up in reasonable time but don't expect much in the way of updates between order and receipt.

  • I used them without problems, took a bit longer to arrive than uk based stuff.

  • Had some Grand Bois tyres from there, arrived nice and fast. All good.

    How did it work out?

  • I have purchased Veloflex Record tubs from them (a couple of months ago) - cheapest by far.
    Good service - no problems at all.

    IIRC - it is run by an English chap who moved out to France (hence the .co.uk address)

  • For tyres in France I often use http://www.cycletyres.fr/ , which are slightly cheaper still on some items.

  • Yeah, they've been fine.

  • I used them a while back, took them 3 weeks to email me saying they did not have what I wanted in stock, then it took another two weeks to get my money back. Needless to say I have not used them again.

  • was about to order, but phoned them to discover what they had listed on their site was not actually in stock, they would be happy to take my money but could not give me any idea of when the wheels might turn up

    i declined

  • Were the wheels listed as in stock or dispatched in 2 days?

  • So I ordered some tyres on Wednesday night, in stock, requested expedited delivery which is 2/3 days. As yet I’ve had no further communication.
    At what point do I chase? Or am I likely just to go home to them today or tomorrow with no update?

  • Hmm so apparently being dispatched today.
    Will be with me by Thursday. Still no dispatch email though.
    Within my rights to ask for a refund on the express delivery option?

  • That would be decent of them to give you that, I guess.

  • I opened a complaint over a month ago, initially their customer service seemed prompt. Were going to speak to manufacture about a warranty case.
    Chased two weeks later, they said they’d chase. Thursday asked for a different resolution as I still hadn’t heard anything...
    Not very impressed at the moment

  • On going and they seemingly never answer the phone!!

    Edit and seemingly no Facebook page to air grievance

  • Speak to your bank? They may just do a charge back

  • I might have to but the order is from some time ago...

  • And now they have blocked me on Facebook, great customer service....

  • My woes continue.
    Any french speakers/ or in this case listeners that could help me out and tell me what the message says on their telephone number, 03306 840902?
    Think it's to say the number has changed...

    Hmm maybe but my French is pretty poor and they have automated first bit.
    Then it’d rely on a dual linguist to answer..
