  • It's funny how people have been saying that they've had better commuter durability from 'race' GP 4000s tires. Maybe it's more to do with pressures? I've ridden pro4 service course 23s at 80psi and had zero puntures, whereas I've destroyed gatorskins at 105psi. Sane routes, same bike

  • More supple tyres deform more over sharp object, the lower pressure also help.

    Hence why Gatorskins tend to get quite a lots of debris stuck on it.

  • interdasting - I run my Gators 25c with low pressure and they give me rather huge puncture resistance.
