  • I have 25c GP4000s on Campagnolo Eurus (20mm external width, 17mm internal), they just clear the inside of my brakes, at the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock points, when looking at the brake front on. Will switching to 22mm wide (17.8mm internal) Ryde Pulse Sprint rims mean they have more or less clearance?

    @edscoble, the wide rim evangelist.

  • Different pads can help, Swissstop have a new wide rims pads that allow more clearance (but less material).

    What brakes is it? Modern Shimano brakes (says 5800) can give more clearance as it's better designed for wider rims.

  • TRP R960, which I'm loathed to replace because they're super light and cost someone lots of money. The pads are fairly worn now and it's still super tight. I mean, I've ridden them like this for over a year, just trying to avoid buying fancy wheels that won't fit.
