Don't bother with latex tubes in those kind of tyres, you won't see the benefit and having to pump them up every day will get annoying. RiBMo for puncture resistance and bombproofness, or 28c Pavés for something a bit more refined.

Latex is good for actual cross racing (reduced pinch-flats) but IMO not ideal for hasty tube-swaps in the dark/mud/rain that comes with a commute.
Cross tyres might fit @HoKe 's #action #lifestyle but how much of your commute is spent on soft ground?
Touring tyres are fine for mixed surface riding.

Pasela's. SJS. £24.99. Doing wonders on my Cross Check.
No word on Kojaks? They can be had under £40 from Germany.
I prefer ride quality over puncture resistance.
On subject of tubes can I achieve 50psi on 32c (64kg) with normal tubes?
I've been commuting on latex for a year now with supple tyres of course. -

Yes. Lower if you want.
I put 40psi in for the cross bike (w butyl toobs). Sometimes less when racing. Don't try and ride over Cotswold stone walls though (cough).

alright sold on butyl for commuting; which tyre tho .. pasela is nice but pricey .. £50-ish for a pair 700cx32mm, doesent ride like a stone (think marathon plus).

I'm looking for 35c max. (non-tubeless) cross tires.. any recommendations?
-
• #1765
that looks decent enough; personal recommendation?

35c RibMo is my default "big tyre" for tarmac. Have them on the Straggler, they were on the Brooklyn(s), Pops has them on both her All Citys. The balance between weight, speed and puncture protection is spot on.

My skidder tyre of choice. Bombproof, and I don't mind them on the rear so they can't be all that slow.

No Amey. Those are the folding version. They have the wire bead version for 24.99.

Dry use? Wet use? All rounder?
-
• #1773
All rounder would be preferable.

Another vote for paselas here. Run 32mm, had em a year, done about 3000 miles, I'm no speed demon, but find they spin up just fine. If you want a tyre with good protection and a bit of tread at a decent price, why look elsewhere?

I really rate Michelin Mud 2s. Good in all conditions. But they come up small, 30c, so maybe look at challenge Grifos, Clement MXP or Specialized Terra.
He's not riding cross!
