Hey guys, new here (bloody noob) but I was wondering if any of you have read Outcast by Kirkman & Azaceta? Its written by the creator of Walking dead and its about this guy who has been plagued with demonic possession all his life. Grim, dark, haunting- right up my street but thought I'd ask for opinions on it if any of you did get around to reading it.

I read the first 5 or 6 issues but couldn't get in to it. I think mainly because I didn't like the art. It's definitely got potential to be a good series.

Yea, a lot of people have complained about the art. Also, I've heard the writing was poor too. They're making it into a TV show now though. Looking forward to see if that works out.

I usually give new titles a while to find their feet but Outcast just didn't grab me, I dropped it from my pull list after the first 5 or 6. Gotta save them pennies haha.

That's a shame, I was so keen on it. Might give it a go anyway and see what I think for myself. Its quite cheap on Amazon..cheaper than most new ish comics anyway

don't read any horror other than The Walking Dead, and I'm not even sure that counts.
Sci Fi though, check out Descender, Saga, The Wake, Trillium.

Love Descender and The Walking Dead but I'll check out the others. Thanks :)

Ugh, I hate when they glare at you like 'are you just mucking around or are you actually going to buy something'/ its a comic book shop ffs

you work in a comic book store mate! you're literally a trope in loads of bad american comedy.
is what i wish i'd said. instead i quietly shuffled out somewhat guiltily.

Pretty sure that kind of moodyness goes with the territory of working at a comic book shop but even then. Where's this shop again? Might go in to show off my resting bitch face, read a comic etc

moreso since someone's clearly bought up all the mom & pop stores there to turn them into coffee shops and yet more permutations of flipping Polpo and the like, only they've put a load of plasterboard up featuring imagery of the mom & pop stores that used to be there. top trolling.
The endurance is alas no more either.

Looked up John Carpenters Asylum- much horror, many grim, love it. I'm going to have to check it out.
Also, Fight club is one of my favorite books/films of all time so that's gotta be done. Good to hear its not a disappointment as most sequels are!

Oh no way, that sucks. 2 weeks ago we dropped them off at one of the charity shops in Clapham. I've a couple of boxes potentially looking for a home that are currently up north
I figured as much. I hate ebay.
