Does anybody know how the sizing for a C40 works? Is it a sloping tube or standard?
I'm looking at one for my GF and its claimed to be a 52cm. She's already got a 52cm Condor which fits her great, but am I just wishing too much that it might be the right size?

that looks like a first gen , sizing pretty much traditional

Great, if its traditional according to various sites & searches it appears it may fit. It'll be 1cm longer which will be fine. Now the next question, is it any good? And how much is too much to pay?

good bike, above 1500 would be too much imho

opening this to the nag gods: if you had to get a 80's master re sprayed in the UK, who would you choose? mine isn't one of the fancier schemes, but would like to get it restored properly

Bob Jackson, Argos Cycles, Mercian Cycles, Colour-Tech & Vaz finishers would be all good choices worth considering. Not to get in a discussion of who's better and who's worse but there's many very good reviews on here (and some bad) of them all. I have one done by Argos and one by Colour-Tech and am very happy with them both. I'm gonna try Vaz next for another Colnago frame.

These guys without doubt the best painters I've ever used, night and day to Mercian and BJ, only Vaz comes close. They laser cut all their masks like Colnago do, and don't use decals - it's all in the paint and masking. Truly professional but of course not cheap.
Then again neither are BJ and imo their finishes are very sub standard, in terms of perfection.

If you scroll down you'll see a Super they did.
The trouble with repro decals is that they're quite thick vinyl and hard to get them 'in the paint', obviously this is the best way to do it.

When you said the "pedals have gone" did you mean in the bin? already sold? just removed? If you've still got them and they're keo compatible (are they? looks like it from the picture, don't know what they are though), would you be interested in selling them?

Hi! First post.
Any help identifying the age of my recently completed Super Pista would be great. It's been repainted (not by me) so I'm not sure if these are the correct decals. I swapped the pista forks for some precisas as you can see! :)
