I bought some Campag splined v2 Kinesis cx disc wheels cheap. Thought i'd be able to change the spline as per the V1 wheels- turns out I can't. I'm a little loathe to change the wheels, as what i'd replace them with wouldn't be as nice for the money....
Buying Shimano wheels would be the sensible thing to do though

A mate has - works fine.
Why not just buy some Shimano wheels?
If I were you I'd not want to be setting up to rely on obscure cassettes. Regular campag are bad enough.
