  • Make sure the bolts holding the cleats to the shoe are really tight, that stopped me being able to clip in properly when I first put them on. Also try and press down with the ball of your big toe, I find a bit of extra pressure from that inside edge of the foot helps.

  • Don't overtighten the cleat bolts!!!

    They only need something like 2.5Nm (from memory they have 'click points' to help) and if you overtighten them you will fuck the cleat. It needs room for the C-spring to move.

    Hippy speaks the truth - three "clicks", no more. Or use a torque wrench, but the three clicks works well enough.
