Pedal boards... Never owned one but need to keep my most used effects in the one place, would be awesome if it doubled up as a hard case and had its own power supply... Suggestions? Not too spendy would be perfect...

After a bit of research I might actually be OK with a Boss BCB-60... I have found a really nice used Diago case but it's much bigger than I need, I'd still have to get a PSU anyway so lots more moneyz... Thoughts?

Boss is okay if you only use 9v, but the outlets aren't isolated. Better and much more adaptable solution is a Pedaltrain Jr with a Voodoo Lab PP2+ mounted underneath. Throw it in one of those faux-flightcase briefcases for camera gear (I got a used one for a fiver). Though actually I just put my pedalboard in a cardboard sleeve in a messenger bag.

Bought a little alu bodied 4 string banjo (with only one string and no bridge) for £30 from Tune Inn in Catford this morning. Sweet thing. Proper hide skin and a really solid neck. Can't wait to get it up and plinking.

Joe, pedaltrains come with either gig bag or hardcase. If using a small board then Thomman's own isolated PSU is good for the money, better than a T Rex fuel tank I had.

Can't you just daisy-chain off a Boss tuner? I used to do that (I only use three or four pedals tho).

It's weird if you don't want to do the big public thing because after a while you find there's a potentially pretty big big group of people who you might know pretty well but just don't, for whatever reason, speak to that regularly.

After a while it feels even weirder to contemplate messagesing them to go "Guess what?!" So there's a whole load of people who you count as good friends who just because of circumstance end up not knowing. I think in retrostect the announcement route might have its up-sides.

So now it gets announced on the guitar nerds thread. Rad! Yeah man, she's due in 4 weeks. All is well. Final 36 week scan tonight. Home studio now fully converted to baby room. *sob... but yes. All very good and exciting!
