He doesn't. He should've watched the video of the Alpe stage from 2008 to understand what he needs to do.
I'd expect Contador to go for a shit or bust move on the Croix de Fer. That would actually suit Sky as other teams would be more motivated to chase.

Because emoticons are fugly and get in the way of communication, providing a shorthand attempt at dialogue which would be better constructed in, you know, language.

Today is gunna be soooo good. The KoM may spice things up, Contador has tried a few times with an early break to win on these hills before. And did Sky sandbag G to save him for today?
Quintana is shit or bust today, Movistar haven't seemed that interested in stage wins, so I reckon they're going for the overall win which means Quintana has to go early on.
