  • I don't understand their vitriol towards someone at the top of their game?

I actually sympathise with their frustration. He is ugly on the bike, charmless in person and spoils a big part of the race because it's hard to enjoy watching him win.

What I don't get is how that frustration leads to huzzing bodily fluids at him.

Are any of the GT pros actually charming? Most of the perceived 'personaly' is projected. Just be happy for the colour and variety in the race. Or watch the golf.

  • Valverde, obvs.

If @Hefty wants to like Froome even less - mostly because you get to meet his 'old school friends' - check out the docu on ITV+4 now.

  • most at least have some sort of character. Something that makes them interesting. Human.

  • I don't really mind Froome, he seems polite and professional. I find his ability to keep his cool (relatively) given the crap he's had to deal with pretty admirable. He's certainly no more boring than Teejay, Talansky, Quintana etc.

How interesting do we expect someone to be when they dedicate their whole life to riding a bike and not eating very much?
