Not in my experience. I have 2/3 wheelsets on the go for different types of riding and because I'm stingy as fuck at the moment I haven't bought any more expensive latex. Therefore, I've removed and re-fitted a set of latex tubes numerous times recently, none of which have resulted in a pinch flat. I always thoroughly check around the rim bed for exposed tube before pumping, and then maybe again after a few pumps of air have gone in.
Also FYI - Maybe I've just upped my patch-game, but I find latex soo much easier to repair than butyl. (with rema repair kit)
