So we may have no water in our building.
Will see what this means for tmw.
Basically- if someone could bring me a spare bottle, I'd be super grateful. -

On my way

You won't regret it, I will...
@eyebrows I have a spare bottle but it's full of apple juice if you won't mind

Here now, at the usual corner next to a bunch of waffa lots

Just shy of 290. There was a lot of rotation going on for the last four laps which helped keep the numbers up.
My 'training plan' atm is mostly going to pubs and eating a lot, with the only riding being this once a fortnight. Pleased it's working. -

I need to get me some of that training plan. 290 for 20 mins is great. You were smashing it with the non-Forumungers when you cruised past me.
I thought I' done a reasonable 20 min power this morning til I heard that. Thanks for pissing on my bonfire!

Screw you guys and your impressive figures

Is it just me, or does getting up super early and doing short hard rides (like laps) turn you as bit feral? Can't stop wanting to eat (and drink coffee).
And can't concentrate. Ah well, at least I'm at work and not doing anything important like watching the tour.

You'll crash in a few hours.
-
• #141
I would, but weather dependant! =)
-
• #142
If it makes you feel better I was probably pushing roughly 170 (according to strava)
-
• #143
Feel the same!
Waiting for my crash to happen at lunch, but I do surprisingly feel right now with this early morning workout/chore/pain!
-
• #144
This!
Would have been great with you here today mate! (Plus if you were here I probably would have lasted one more lap...)
-
• #145
I'd feel better if you all fell ill for two weeks
-
• #146
I'll stop being bitter now
-
• #147
You're right. I do morning laps quite a lot and tend to find I get through the morning ok coz I've got the post-ride buzz, but after i've eaten some lunch, I REALLY REALLY CBA to do anything except mong in front of the TV or mindlessly surf the interwebz.
@Hoke - Strava tends to under-estimate power figures, so take heart!

Sorry to hear about your illness atm, just found out how serious it was! Hope you get better soon mate! I'll take you out for dim sum once you get better (and intentionally make you fat as well)

Off to Paris tomorrow and National 25 next weekend, but should be out week after that.

To spoil your fun even more, just reviewed the garmin and my 54 min power (8 laps, 22 miles) was only 5W lower. So I guess I suck at pushing myself
out of my comfort zoneinto the pain cave but am reasonably good at pacing. If I wasn't so morbidly obese my w/kg might even be classed as 'average'. I think the fact that you weigh approximately 0.5 6pts (3pts?) might swing things in your favour on proper non-park roads.
Good, see you boys there!
