  • 'getting a dialogue' in place of having a catch-up with a superior

  • We have meetings with our line managers here, called 1-2-1 meetings. Not too bad I think, however a friend at another company syncs with his line manager. Sync!

  • Is page 50 worth reading? I suspect not.

  • Can someone please tell me who is pictured in the above gif?

I want to know so that I can contact her to offer my services as a husband.

  • Emma Watson?

  • Yeah, she presents Big Brother now

  • Oh is it? That's a shame. She probably wouldn't consider me a compelling prospect. She'd probably prefer someone with charm, good looks, wealth, intelligence, talent, compassion, humility, a well maintained physique and or a good sense of humour.

  • She likes gingers though, according to Harry Potter, so there's always that.

  • You suspect correctly

  • She's about half your age, Josh!

  • Do you know who gets to decide what words mean?

    People who use them.

  • "Does this wash it's face"

I have literally no idea what this could mean....

  • Its.

  • Thanks Mum...

  • It means "pay for itself" but also used in a "does it make sense" context.

Not sure of the origin though!

  • I was just subject to some ideation. I know it's a valid word according to The Oxford Dictionary but hearing still causes convulsions.

  • "Ideate on that" is quite common here.

    Ugh.

(At least it hasn't become "Ideate in and around that." Andy Townsend would be proud.)

  • Ideate your ham and cheese sandwich what was in the fridge yesterday. soz lol.

  • Are you across that?

Is that a BBC thing? Heard it from my BBC mates and on that BBC mockumentary.

  • "Life Chances" instead of "Child Poverty"

For example "Under the new Wefare Bill, the Child Poverty Act would be renamed to be the "Life Chances Act."

  • I've just been asked to change "less money" in a blog post to "fewer resources".

I wrote "less money" because I meant less money.

  • Meet them halfway with 'fewer money'.
