But it's actually getting a proper service at The London Cycle Workshop.
Apparently, after 10000 miles, it kind of needed it!

Not sure. Maybe never on the back one. And maybe 4000 ago for the front, before I went into europe. I think.

About 2,000 miles give or take.
His rear hydraulic hose have snapped near the headtube due to constant erosion, it was lucky it only happen when we rebleed his otherwise extremely dirty oil rather than on the road.
Did I mention his oil is dirty? You'd be forgiven to think it's black gold.

Loads left on there. If you're not down to the metal there's life left.

He's doing the TCR in a couple weeks time, you're willing to take that risk?

My normal notice that I need to change my pads is the noise of metal on metal grinding.

Important question.
2 or 3 spare innertubes?
-
• #198
As many as you can carry.
You can buy them fairly easily but not sure you'll want to lose time trying to find a bike shop to pick some up.

None.
Dude, just pour a bit of dry lube every now and then if you're worried about the dust.
Degrease new chain entirely to removed the wax, then pour dry lube in it, that will stop the dirt from sticking to it easily, then carry a very small bottle of dry lube.
