His HRM is clearly broken, like mine.

Strength of Sky's drugs really made a difference today
Marginal gains don't look so marginal at the moment.

Porte must be feeling fresh after being nowhere for the last week, that was strong
Like in the Giro, oh..

You're stealing my schtick, Schick!

No, he's Tasmanian so definitely not human but they may have emotions unlike us.

I'm hoping Contador's saved some blood bags for later on, otherwise the Vuelta is going to be more interesting than the Tour again.

Nice pre race entertainment today. So the smoking gun is his static heart rate? meh.

Analysts were talking about Nibali being above everyone else (but still maybe plausible) last year though...

I do wonder why some people bother watching if they can't take it at face value.
Pro Wrestling.

It's boring.
Like the Tour after some Frenchy tried to kill my team and now the GC thanks to Team Death Star.
How about that French countryside though...

I prefer comic book characters.

Either he's a cyborg or his HR strap was dodgy. The first option seems more likely.

Nope, I find I can't get ranty enough on my phone keyboard. I need to bash proper keys so I'm at a desk.. waiting for a db to restore..

Ha, well that's not nearly as funny a image.

I'm really up for catching Sky out for doping and a good bit of public execution etc. if, we can see some vague evidence that they are. I've still seen nothing, and so all this is just getting a wee bit dull.
-

Just like those Lance years where all that evidence popped up to stop him and his team winning another Tour... oh...

This is the problem with the Tour, both on the road and off it's a wee bit dull, the sideshow depressing and predictable, the in recent years little competition in the GC and even the green jersey. So many knives out for Sky, just such a nasty, vindictive backdrop to a sporting event.

If the team dressed in black, has been dominating cycling, and is sponsored by Rupert Murdoch, were busted for doping we'd all look a bit like morons in hindsight.
I am happy to believe they are clean.
I wish Paolini was racing.

What does this mean?
Are you saying the sport is "nasty, vindictive" because teams want the winning team to lose? Do you even sport?

You're all mad. It was a fascinating first week, and now, like in every tour, the Juicy Contenders are down to one or two riders. We get to watch one of the best climbers cycling has ever seen and every day there is great racing and intrigue and scenery and, on Eurosport, a recipe! The proven drug cheats are falling away and riders with no blemish to their name are winning (except the French, by and large, though Gallopin is still around). If your experience is ruined by following Twitter then, hey, here's an idea....

There was that evidence though. The failed test in 99 for cortisone that was covered up with a backdated TUE, a French TV crew filming team staff dumping medical waste, including Actovegin packaging, in a bin in a lay-by miles away from the race, the testimony from the likes of Emma O'Reilly, Steve Swart, Betsy Andreu etc, the links with Ferrari and l'Equipe's work on the 99 urine tests.
With Froome and Sky there is nothing like this in the public domain. Which suggests it either doesn't exist or there is a conspiracy so successful that they've managed to cover it up. I know which one I think most likely.
In terms of Tour excitement, yep. In terms of making racing look legit, yep.
