With less than two weeks to go I'm getting pretty nervous now.
I'm rider 89, hope to some of the LFGSS there.
Anyway here's my setup/kit

Hi!
Could swear I saw you our training around Cambridge once. Properly south west might have been Toft or maybe Kimboltom way. Memory fades.
Anyway I'm racing. Nice setup.

Almost certainly was me, I live in Great Shelford so I'm in Toft quite regularly.
How are you planning to get to the start line? A few friends said that they'd drive me and then go onto spend the weekend in Belgium but the pretty expensive ferries have turned them off. At the moment the easiest option seems Eurostar to Brussels then cycle the remainder.

Cool, when I rode past I had a feeling about it as you had your apidura bags on and de rigueur tri bars.
Eurostar. Super easy.
You can book your bike onto your train via Eurodispatch.
http://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-information/travel-planning/luggage/travelling-with-your-bike-eurostarThe ride isn't far from Brussles 40km or so.

Cheers for the help. On the 0855 train with my bike.

Cool.
They might make you take all bags off the bike so be prepared.
Thers a decent supermarket in Brussels train station if you need food.
Loads of cafes too. -

Damn, is all that kit going in the Apidura bag? That's pretty lightweight packing for a long ride.

Yes all bags, bidons, accessories need to be off the bike to travel on Eurostar- its an excellent service though, worth upgrading to first class for the meal and not having to Q. They may not let you into the lounge if you are in lycra though (maybe it was because of my smell though).

I'll be there as well. That is some lightweight packing, great work! your sleeping arrangement looks bare.

No bivvy bag or have I missed it...? Looks like you've just got a liner and thermarest...
-
• #215
No bivvy, planning to sleep in bus stops and hedges.

Gerardsbergen, Good luck! I hope you ate as good over the last months as the other rider on this I met occasionally when we both were buying our takeaway lunches.
