I was talking to an American at the club ten a fortnight ago (we get a lot here who work in aviation/nuclear and engineers love a bit of testing). He was raving about the uk TT scene - that most large towns have weekly TT. He takes his bike as he moves about for business and gets more racing in a month than in six back home.
It's fertile ground for innovative small companies I'd have thought.

The thing is to try not to be elitist when working within TTs, as it's so grassroots. NoPinz have really nailed it with the Speedpocket, it's not only an excellent idea but the quality/service is really good. The guys at NoPinz are really trying to innovate with the products, rather than just making something and marketing it they do have the data to back things up.
We try to bring aerodynamic testing to the masses with AeroCoach as well - our paired test manual session (2 riders/2hrs) is exactly 1/3 the cost of a Drag2Zero tunnel session, it's more relevant to outdoor riding and you get more runs in 2hrs without losing data accuracy. Rolling out the live kit next month (+£125/rider) which is unreal in terms of what you can get done in the time slot.
They're doing some interesting things, good for the UK TT scene to have a company really supporting it and developing some new products. Collaboration with Aerocoach / @xavierdisley in the works too.
