Turns on fine, The new battery had 50% charge on it.
But, no it isn't recognised as a USB device, so the usb port is a bit shagged?
Have you tried charging the battery out of the phone or fitting a wireless charging module (I seem to remember this is 30 seconds of a job on a Note 2). As above, it could be the USB connector.
I can try charging the battery outside the phone. I'll rig up a charger now.

Will it turn on at all? What if you have it connected to PC via USB? Will it switch on/recognise it? Could it be the USB connector on the phone rather than battery?
