  • definitely short. Bring a longsleeve for the beach.

  • Cheers.
I'll be on a black Genesis Day One if you are still looking for people to set off with

  • might join you if you're still about the beach when rolling in sometime Sunday mornin', :-)

  • guess the continental-style bicycle carriage could be used every day (as it would be on trains in the Holland / Germany - forget which country it was sighted in!), enabling train commuters to also be..... bicycle commuters too!

  • sold.

  • I ain't even doing this ride but am looking forward to it on behalf of you all. Should be lovely.

  • Looks a bit like it might pour with rain on the beach.

  • Thanks for the tips Scilly. The dog leg through Kesgrave would be pointless if my grandma didn't live on Dobb's Lane! And I grew up on Woodville Rd so know the town part well enough.

The remoter parts duly noted however, never did get out much as kid.

  • I've just calculated that according to 5-8g per kg bodyweight, I'm going to need 30 cans of beer... Might look into some pasta instead.

  • The fact there are no bikes on trains and I live somewhere where the train does not go means I will be riding down and have to ride back. What a shame that I have to spend more time on my bike. I dont know how I will cope.

It is also a shame the weather is so good. There is nothing like bad weather to make a ride more memorable, it did not say fun just memorable.

  • Sadly not riding the Dunwich Dynamo this year, but I did write this http://t.co/KZEwUiRYqE

  • This Adorable Cyclist Rode The Dunwich Dynamo... What Happened Next Will Melt Your Heart!

  • "write" LOL

  • Still not decided if I'm riding. Got as far as printing out my email ticket back barcode thingy.

Going to put a smaller cog on as that means less pedal revolutions and less pedal revolutions means it is shorter.

  • Sounds like you're more organised than me then. Come on, I need someone to drink with up to Finchingfield, then you can fuck off back home if you don't fancy it.

  • Team WNKR, @Ramsaye, @middleofnowhere, let's do this!! Will be at London Fields on lookout for forum mongers by 9,

  • @Hairnetnick leaving 8ish if you're thirsty @middleofnowhere!

right, better get off the sofa and get preppin'!

looking forward to seeing you halfway @Oliver Schick

  • reckon less gear inches is the way to go myself, those slight slopes at the end feel like mountains! see you at an early pub!

  • Fuck it, I'm gonna spice this up a bit by riding the SS Brompton (orange). Hope to see you folks ^ out there but will probably be languishing in a bush somewhere.

Also aiming to ride back to Ipswich so will keep an eye for nic, howrad etc (if you happen to have stopped somewhere for hours to let me catch up!)..

  • Just to clarify, does this bar code stuff means we don't have to queue up in London Fields to get a ticket?

  • Team WNKR, @Ramsaye, @middleofnowhere, let's do this!! Will be at London Fields on lookout for forum mongers by 9,

Don't worry, I'm fully intending to get my arse into gear at somepoint. I am aiming to be in the Fields by 8ish.

I intend to do it in a gentlemanly fashion this year, I am currently frying sausages. Neither of those were euphemisms.

  • Hmmmm, an inauspicious start. The trains from Eloi appear to be a bit screwed. Pressing on regardless.

  • That's what the email said. Which means leaving home about 8:30/9 and heading straight to Moreton.
