Or try the Shimano Click'r SPD pedals. Double sided SPD pedals but the bindings push flat and are perfectly fine in normal shoes.
I have the PD-T400 version (in black) on my hackbike and they work perfectly. One or two days a week commuting in SPD shoes and one or two days doing other rides in normal shoes or astroturf footy boots.

Didn't think of Condor: I'll call them in the morning.
I'll try BLB too: I think they're the UK distributor for PW.
Thanks.

If I were to start a thread entitled 'incongruous frame-mounted pumps' which encouraged posting images of modern, carbon road-racing bikes with old zefal pumps wedged unceremoniously beneath their swooping, compact top-tubes would I be covering a topic already raised in another thread?

I would love to see that thread

Click r have low tension, supposed to be aimed at people who are scared of not being able to clip out.
M454 and M545 are both shimano spd pedals with cages (plastic and metal, respectively), have used them both (as well as the click'r), they are good if your shoes aren't thin, where you can feel the spd parts protrude up above the cage.(Apparently there's also m647, not tried those...)

18t 3/32 - Condor should have this and from my experience of their basic black 17t 3/32 @£8.99 sprocket is pretty smooth and running much better than Andel/surly.
I also am running a (gold) velosolo 18t and it's smooth, round and quiet but has an alarming amount of wear after only very few miles. But I have been using that on my gravel/mud path wheels.

Aren't the gold Velosolo ones Alu?

Yep, hence their temporary nature. But it's not instant death to face that you might from an alu cog. Certainly haven't stripped any teeth off it. I'd still recommend the condor basic 3/32 cog though.

Yeah they were Andel..... but still 3/32" !
Another brand that doesn't come @Scilly.Suffolk approved.
Tough customer.
FWIW I used the miche system for years on commuters and a track bike with no problems. Andel were OK too.

Click r have low tension, supposed to be aimed at people who are scared of not being able to clip out.
Never had an unwanted unclip with mine, and I'm not afraid to pull up hard on them. It was something I was worried about when I first got them but it's proven to be an unnecessary worry.
Bonus is the Click'r pedals having built in pedal reflectors, so no questioning that aspect of legality when riding at night.

Heading to the Pyrénées in two weeks. Flying into Toulouse and picking up a rental car. What is the smallest car that would fit 2 x bike boxes?

I have a question about aero wheels and the benefits I might get from them before I buy a set that are within my budget.
My current roadbike is a Canyon Roadlite with Ultegra kit and Dura-Ace c24s and GP4ks. This weighs 7.9kg. The wheels weigh a claimed 1395g. The wheels I am considering are from V-Sprint (I have used their fixed gear wheelsets and find them to be affordable and very reliable).
Namely this set, which weighs 1875g: http://v-sprint.com/product/road-wheels/carbon-road-wheels-aero-pro-sport/
For the additional 480g, how much faster am I likely to be able to go? To put it into context, I'm doing ride London for which I've been training for by sustaining 20mph average for 1-1.5hrs. I don't have a power meter, but I'm wondering how much faster I'm likely to be able to go with the V-Sprint wheels over the c24s for the same effort on mostly flat terrain? If it's not going to be very noticeable, I'll just save the money for beer.

Enve 3.4 to R45 is the only way to true aero benefit.
