Like a Red Bull air race plane? If so yes, extremely cool. I think weight would really determine the possibility of that though. A ducted fan design might help though.
The one thing you really notice with high performance electric drive machines is the linear acceleration. Must feel a lot more brutal than the smoothness suggests.

I was wondering about power density - clearly it's not an issue for them having enough energy on board for 1,300 bhp/2,200Nm of torque for ~8 minutes, which as you say (barring malfunctions) is undiminished by the thinning atmosphere.
