  • Who suggested removing the 11T and spacing it over? I can't find the discussion.

This is where I'm at. I've removed the 11T and put two random spacers (one in parts bin, one off my Ksyriums) behind the cassette.

It kind of works, in that it spaces the cassette away from the Raltech cover but doing so means I almost run out of splines for the 12T to bite into before the lockring tightens and even then I think the lockring might bottom out before it locks the sprockets down so they'll flop a bit.

I think I need different spacers to tweak the width a bit (ie. 11spd spacers - any idea what size they are or where to get random width spacers?).

Or, do I bin this idea and move to using a cheaper cassette with the biggest cog removed?
This whole Raltech thing is proving to be a total PITA.

  • a cheaper cassette with the biggest cog removed

It's the bottom sprockets that are cantilevered over the hub, so this looks like the path of least resistance: minimal amount of messing with what Shimano intended.

    Singlespeed spacer kit?
