there are only three other brands that have the same design of holes on the flange. They are:
Colossi http://www.colossicycling.com/products/hubs/c-unit_track_hubset.html
Only Cycroc has fixed/fixed rear hubs. I discovered them only after buying my hubs. So, I will have to go along with these. Plus, when i use this wheelset on other bike in the future, i will be able to use the freewheel .

headset just arrived. Campagnolo Record 1" headset.
It does not fit. I have cut the steerer tube to fit the black headset and now the steer tube is too short for Campagnolo Record headset. It is a pity that I will never be able to use that nice headset on this frame.

after a couple of hours of searching for a silver, 30mm stack height, 1" headset no results except tange passage but i already tried that one, it does not fit because it has got 26.4mm crown race diameter. this fork did not take it easily. i wonder if it is standard procedure to force it on. anyway. i have sold the tange headset now.

Really ? Good parts and frame mixed with Taiwan shit.... Shame..
When my pelizzoli come if it come :D I'll use only good quality parts no a Taiwan shit, ist a shame hand crafted frame build up with no name parts... Sory!

what wheels do you plan to use? do you plan to use your bike on the track?
-
• #89
I just measured the crown race diameter on the fork and it is 26.4mm. I read here http://bicycles.stackexchange.com/questions/14182/solutions-for-a-slightly-loose-crown-race
that crown races are actually press fitted in the bike shop. This means gotta go and buy that Tange Passage headset, then to local bike shop. -

You do realise that Taiwan produces a huge amount of high quality manufacturering don't you?

Re the headset stack height, pretty sure Chris King have a low stack height, might be worth having a bit more of a read around.
Also depending on how much extra steerer you need, the head tube could easily have a few mm taken off it.

i know than but thoes hubs are not quality..

for road/track and wheels Miche hubs for road, and DA for track.
-
• #94
why didnt you order the headset straight from the pelizzoli shop? they fit and mount everthing for free
-
• #95
@Ferriveloci it never crossed my mind to ask if they provide headset and fit it. The tange headset and maybe chris king gripnut (33mm stack height) are the only two heads that can be used on this frame.
@HeHz Miche hubs were second on my list but i chose these hubs because of their design. i will find out very soon whether the cog and lockring threads on the rear hub can withstand skidding.
But do mind that Miche hubs are italian threaded, which means that replacement parts, like locknut, track nuts, lockring must be italian threaded. Post #10 https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/127848/
Btw, great choice on DA hubs for the track.

I think you should contact Pelizzoli, explain the situation, and see if they can help. For eg they might be able to cut the steerer and weld a longer one in place. With any luck they'll be able to help and as you bought the frame from them hopefully not charge you too much.
Otherwise maybe buy a new chrome fork or strip the anodizing off the black headset and polish it.
forgive my ignorance, but what's wrong with the polish, just not what they would have had back in the day?
