  • Ok. I meant the images of stripes, the verticals and the horizontal gradation steps like.

  • So got my first roll of film back from my Olympus XA, shot on Poundland Agfa Vista 200.

Quite happy with these considering they were shot on the go.

  • ..ha, not bad! Like the last one the most.

Good to hear camera's working properly (apart from frame counter I believe you said) !

  • ..thanks man! It's painted walls by the way.

  • .
I like the second one coz to my eye it looks like ....nor cal....instead of out the front of my house Putney.

  • Love the second one, nice composition, and edible colours!

Are these developed an scanned by a lab?

  • They are, I use Photoghost in Aberdeen, nice wee indy shop and so far they have been very good.

I have just taken out a subscription to their C41 develop and scan, it's £25 a month and that includes up to 10 rolls per month developed and medium quality scans and a slight premium for B+W. You'll be seeing lots more from me in this thread!

  • They seem to do a pretty good job, images look nice.
And that subscription thing is awesome, I'm jealous.. £2,50 a roll ?!

Where I live the options are pretty much around £4,50 a roll, with a week wait, and poor scans,
or £10 for "ok" scans and next day service, or insane amounts of money for same day and hi-res.
    : [

  • Yeah, definitely a good deal! They send the images by file transfer so might be interested in international customers, you're in Berlin right?

  • Yea I'm in Berlin.
Posting the rolls to the UK would not make sense (also I'd want not just the files, but my negs back as well!)

  • True, the postage and return postage would be too much....

  • £25 a month and that includes up to 10 rolls per month developed

More than two films per week... you'll have to be pretty prolific!

  • True, but it works out cheaper for me even if I only shoot 4 a month which is pretty much my average.

In this regard Zürich might be not for you: 25 CHF a pop for development (circa 2013; that was a bit over 20 euros!). In all fairness I have to say that the lab was very professional, 24h service etc.; still eye-wateringly expensive. The lab I usually use in Brussels charges the modest 4 euros (development only) per film.

  • ..haha, yea, that's not cheap. I guess wages in Zürich are quite a bit higher compared to Berlin though.
    ; )

Development only is 6 Euros per roll at a pro lab here in Berlin (and if you bring it early in the day they are sometimes even able to do it in 2-3 hours, which is nice for impatient folk like me).

  • Destitute and lost in this world....

  • finally found me a mju2.
anyone point me to a poundland with film?

  • Straford I think had some last I heard?
