It's very pink. I might have to invest in the pink ck.... Maybe at least order one from wiggle or similar to see the colour in person, with the option of a return...

That or I go for a cane creek 40 or 110. Anyway. The first build is likely to be with what I already have; full kit out match.com stuff will have to wait.

With all that waiting we need better pictures!
Glad you finally received it, the waiting must have been worst for you obviously! -
• #508
Excellent news! Can't wait to see it built up.

I have sram rival (10 speed) waiting to go on this frame, but I'm sorely tempted by Rival 22...
-
• #510
Rival 22 is supposed to be very crisp.
Very impressed with Force 22 set-up.

Have just ordered (if only to check the colour match):

Snap. I have the same stem.
Are you going to remove the side logos? I keep meaning to.
-
• #513
That would be the plan.
I wanted a -10 stem to match the top tube; that gives me Thomson or pro plt. I have a 110mm Thomson but am now going to use a layback post so will need a 100mm stem... Hence the ordering.

Pro plt -10 minus the decals!

If the headset is the right colour, and you still return it, I will forever be in awe of your will power.

Ha ^
Ditto. -
• #517
Ha! Spot on.
I want it, so I'm likely to keep it.
Planning to drip the frame off at the lbs tomorrow for bb and head tube facing (I have the tools for fitting/ building everything else myself).

My usual strategy is to acquire shiny things first, then spend a long time feeling a bit sick worrying about how to afford them later. So I think yo should keep it :)
Really keen to see it built up! Aiming to have it done for a particular date?

• #519
If you keep new stuff for as long as possible you will find they then become affordable .

^ this is so true. Buy once, buy well. At least that's what I eventually tell meself.

I popped this on the scale for interest's sake:
Frame : 1800g
Fork (uncut) : 877gPretty pleased with that.
-
• #522
Frame is about on par with the Genesis Volare, so a decent weight.
Decent wheels, component etc. should keep it around 8.5kg easily.
-
• #523
That's not bad, what size is it again?
Also you should get the thread title changed - replace the ? with an !

replace the ? with an !
More like ??? then !

Effective top tube is about 54. I'll lose about 40-50% of the steerer length when its cut, too.
Good point about the title :)
Headset / writing match?
