Ah, shit man, this sucks. Rychtarski seem to be doing right by you though. Working in the haulage industry, this is nothing new, the amount of stuff I deliver damaged or incomplete is phenomenal, usually it's not the drivers fault, but couriers really do like to weedle out of responsibility. Hope your second frame arrives unscathed, also hope the experience doesn't sour your enjoyment of the bike. Charcoal grey with orange text!

Absolutely. I get that this stuff happens. Obviously I'm annoyed/ frustrated, but only 'intellectually' if you know what I mean... Its not affecting my day to day life. As @root says its brand new frame time which is good! Looking forward to the first ride all the more now.

Actually, I don't get how they've lost it, but c'est la vie I guess. Obviously if it should appear then it'll go back to the builder eventually. Or so I'd hope. Luckily I don't have to get involved with the process of claims and insurance etc.

Ah ha! I've been thinking about this thread.

Kuba says he's had a problem with the paint booth but the frame is ready for paint, and I think the issue is now sorted. I'm expecting an email to confirm shipping sometime soon.

The new frame is the same as the old in terms of details and geo; I've opted for ral 7031 'blue grey' paint this time.

Nice. Grey is where it's at for 2015 :-)

I think I'll suggest a seatpost bung and some extra-careful wrapping, not that it was the sender's fault but some extra protection against clumsy couriers wouldn't go amiss...

I'm intrigued to know how the lettering looks up-close. I have a mango CK to fit, but if the paint ends up as close to pink as last time then I might chuck the mango on my crosscheck.

No idea. I hope the sale price, though, otherwise the builder is losing profitability to cover someone else's screw up, which doesn't seem fair.

Afaik, when stuff gets damaged at our place the full value is paid, not the cost to the supplier.
