  • Weight no concern.

It's lighter than my Elephant that's for sure and I still managed to do some PB on it.

  • @TM thanks just wondered.

  • Got these forks on eBay a while ago.
It was a good deal, brand new, uncut... I wanted them as spares, just in case, etc... Hence the spacers here as I didn't want to cut them... Just in case... Anyway, shortly after I bought them, I saw very very similar ones, except in chrome, at cycle PS... So you could probably source them there if you need them

  • @Aches looking good! Did you ever do anything about the fork or was it just paint cracks?

  • verrry shexay

  • The paint cracks are no worse than a year ago, if they were cracked they would of snapped by now, i'm sure its just the paint, similar is under the headtube and around the bb to.

    Thanks Rodolfo :)

  • @Aches looking good!

Do I see rust on that fork...? Would keep an eye on that, just in case.
Paint cracks seem common on well used frames, I've seen it before.

  • No rust, just dirt, its all chromed under the yellow, you can see it if you zoom in

  • La Bonette. C'est magnifique.

  • Haven't quite figured out yet what i'm going to do with this. Got a selle smp carbon and a look ergostem coming in. Bars are itm k-sword. Might relace the campy hubs to some chinese 50mm carbon rims. The deda tre rs corsa open tires together with latex tubes and the carbon frame and bar make for a really smooth ride.

  • New shed?

    Nice line up :)

  • Swapped out the cheap suspension fork and 32c CX tyres on my old crosstrail ready for on/off road touring in the highlands. Have cut the steerer now and replaced the chain and cassette for the grand sum of £8.50. Ah, 7sp...

  • Need a cheap v brake, shimano alivio ok?

  • Anything Tektro also to be considered..

  • Right, I'm building a tandem, and using some stuff that doesn't quite work together aesthetically looking for a 2nd opinion.

It's a 60's Peugeot, and the only 25.4 bars I had spare were some nitto b123 to which I fitted Modolo Kronos levers (not ideal but looks okay). I was planning on leaving bars untaped, canti brakes and aero levers though, what do I do with the brake cables?

  • Not so much a project as it's finished, but I built this up today.

Rides like a dream. I can see when B'jammin chose to keep it over the Burls.

Will probably fit a brake and drops at some point to help save me knees from the hills of Edinburgh.

  • Just how many rad bikes do you have?

  • @umop3pisdn Depends how you define rad ;)

This is replacing my Mash as my daily. I have to operate on a strict one in, one out basis.

  • Changed the post/bar/stem on my Mash and am also running 85" and road pedals at the moment in some kind of vague preparation for Red Hook.

  • They're enough.

  • Excellent! really liking the mix of silver and black components, got the perfect balance. looks proper good...can I have it back now...just like that...please return to sender..

  • Modolo Kronos levers

You should be able to buy some more appropriate levers and have change left over for some bar tape if you sell the Kronos levers.

  • The only problem being, I'm getting married imminently, and the tandem is our means of transport, so it needs to be built up asap. Think I'll just tape and aero route the cables. Will look slightly silly to those that know. Luckily, there won't be too many cyclists at the wedding.
