Hmm.. Interesting... There's only one Tour de Fer left. This has a bit better kit. I like the idea of a triple for proper climbing though. Argh. Why so hard.

Lowest gear is 34-32! What kind of walls are you climbing?

I did the alps with four panniers on a compact double. I don't know what the ratios were but I would have preferred another ring. Others with less gear and better fitness were able to drop lower on their triples and it made me jealous.

I don't think 34-32 is particularly low for a loaded touring bike in hilly terrain.
