  • Know a former employee of wells, who had suffered financial losses because of him as well as observing his general cuntishness. I wanted to post what he wrote, but might've got him in trouble.

    But his GF just posted this in addressed publicly;

    There are many things I could say about this video (warning - heaps of swear words, what a guy!), this man, and this man's business practices. But, in an effort to take some sort of moral high-ground, I will instead call out JASON WELLS of Brew Cafe in London, in the form of this:
    //Brew Staff AMNESTY//
    The backlash of Jason's behaviour is likely going to have dire effects on his business interestes, and well it should. Aside from this video capturing his obvious charm, I have my own reasons for finding him a fairly despicable human being. HOWEVER, his business going under, while entirely deserved, would likely result in some hard-working (and no doubt poorly treated) hospo-humans suffering as well. So I am sending out a request to all local coffee shops, restaurants, bars and cafés in London, near to where the Brew branches are based, and beyond, to perhaps openly seek to recruit some of the Brew staff in the coming weeks, as they will likely be looking for new places of work, thanks to their delightful employer and his appalling approach to, well, everything.
    Jason Wells is a man of questionable humanity, god-awful ethics, and ILLEGAL business practices. He owes Michael what would have initially been about £1200, but is now (if we counted the accrued interest since his evasion of tribunal dates, avoidance of bailiffs and official court orders) likely triple that, or more.
    Jason Wells ignored tribunal dates and mediation requests, he refused to turn up to County Court hearings and, when bailiffs arrived at Brew on Northcote Road to seize assets to repay Michael, Jason had "sold" the business' assets to a newly formed company under another name, in order to avoid having to pay Michael his a) last remaining wages and b) his outstanding holiday pay. These weren't obscene requests, these were simple obligations a business has to its staff.
    The bailiff and court advisors said that Jason had likely done this before and, upon inspection, the taxes he was supposed to be paying on behalf of his staff were dubious, and other previous staff members had also launched grievances. We were told to seek legal advice. We couldn't afford it.
    Some people MAY lose out unfairly due to this man's impending social demise, and so I am sending hopeful thoughts that only Jason is held accountable for his ongoing horrendous actions - Michael's court case and this cycle incident are, I'm sure, only 2 of many, given his track record.
    If you own or manage a hospitality business in the South London area (or beyond), and if you KNOW how to treat your staff fairly and ethically, AND if you don't hurl random despicable abuse at members of your local community, simply because you're a slimeball who thinks he is entitled to anything and everything... then please reach out to the staff at Brew's branches. No doubt they'll be having a god-awful time of late, and could do with half-decent humans seeking to employ them.
    Jason, I hope you learn from this and that do your fuckin best to be a better human. What goes around comes around, baby. And if you're a shitbag to other people for long enough, it will clearly bite you in the arse one day. Go sell your Land Rover, and your mansion, pay your debts, sell your share in the business, do some yoga and start apologising to the people you've shat on. Save your brand from complete disintegration, and your soul from complete evaporation.
    And pay Michael that £1200, you asshole. That's a good place to start.
