So you're charging us for your postage and ours? How kind of you.
-
• #3
Indeed you shouldn't be charging for your postage.

• #4
I guess honesty isn't always appreciated : )
-
• #5
Well it's the sort of thing you should probably keep to yourself :)
-

I do appreciate it here, but I'm being honest too and, albeit it's a few quids, it shouldn't be recovered at the expenses of others. You tried it, you paid that.
But it's just shooting an ant with a bazooka really.

Could you post a photo of the jacket laid flat (without the arms covering the body). The eBay photo isn't very good. Thanks

Buy it now £34.99 with free postage
or....
can this thread be moved to the epic fail section?
-

Wow, the internet can be so cruel....
Sorry guys, I was just being honest. I didn't realise that was considered unreasonable. I did say I was just trying to recover my costs. And I even said that I just didn't like it and the sizing was a bit off. If you want it posted free that's fine then.
@moog - see attached photo. Let me know if you want any more done. The tag on it says £169 incidentally- I'd have thought less than £60 with or without postage would have been reasonable!

That's a Women's jacket not a Men's, hence why it doesn't fit you.

• #11
Ha! I'll get me coat.
I think this can be moved to the epic fail category now....
-
• #12
I didn't personally mean it in a mean way sorry :)
And didn't mean you don't have to ask for shipping costs to the new owner! Just that the owner shouldn't pay for your shipping costs ! (i.e. the ones you paid to the eBay seller) -

Cool, don't worry about it. I've already made a massive arse of myself with my gender confusion. The postage cost misunderstanding is the least of my worries.

can this thread be moved to the epic fail section?Meta-fail. You're looking at the coat eBay has automatically selected as the original listing has ended.

My gf is interested. So is this small ? could you measure the length of the arms please?
-
• #18
Yes, it's small.
From the seam at the shoulder to the seam where it meets the elasticated cuffs (not including the cuff) it's 24 inches. From the underarm seam to the seam with the cuff it's 18.5 inches.

• #19
Cool, as soon as my gf will come back from the run we'll check the size and let you know!
-
• #21
Thanks folks, you've restored my faith in the internet again.

I've been away for a week or so and just getting around to doing something about this. Last chance if you're still interested then it's going on ebay!

Was abroad myself and was just speaking to my gf. Need to measure her arm.

Hi mate, will take it if you still have it.
Where are you based?

Hi there,
I won this on ebay but it's too small and I don't like the colour.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vulpine-bike-coat-normal-165-/321721557664?euid=d73fa94457c1430f89d52d52f7ecf5c5&cp=1&nma=true&si=fCRt%2F3W6LFvNVwRtJ4jLQU5jY0k%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_25wt_1080
It's this one here on the vulpine website:
http://www.vulpine.cc/Shop/Womens/Jackets-Gilets/ICAT1034/WOMENS-ULTRALIGHT-QUILTED-THERMAL-JACKET/ITM1123
The guy I bought it from got it from the sample sale a few months back so it's a non-standard colour that they don't sell on their site. The colour is a much brighter orange than the equivalent "dutch orange" gilet. It's a very nice jacket though, very well made. The size guide on the site seems a bit off I think- size small is listed as 37-39" chest- I'm about 37 or 38 and it's too short on the arms and just about fits on the chest and no more so I think a medium would be better for me. It's brand new and still has the tags on it.
Thought I'd put it on here before I ebay it. I'm just looking for what I paid for it- £58.85 (the winning bid+postage). Or thereabouts. I'm in Glasgow so not good for most people but can deliver within a 5 mile radius of the city centre. Otherwise it's a few extra quid for postage.
Thanks for looking.
Edit: As has just been pointed out to me, this is a woman's jacket and not a man's. Clearly I'm very stupid to have not spotted this- I tried it on, thought the fit was very weird (and didn't fit me), and didn't look at it again. Now I know why. How embarrassing.
I've updated the link above to the women's one. I doubt what I said about the sizing being wrong applies anymore.
