  • You can swap the shifters With each other to check that if you want.

  • Why is the Inflite not available in carbon?

  • @Smallfurry thanks again for the input - turned out the Canyon bar-tape install was so tight it had crimped off the connection of the cable. Easy fix in the end.

  • because it's their first go at a cross bike (released last year) and they've not got a pro-team to work with (a guess). I'd expect one to come when they get their dic equiped endurace/ultiamtes out.

  • Does anyone own an Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 with the hole on the underside of the BB.

i think it's the cause of an annoying rattle but not sure...

  • Have you for a picture of what you mean mate?

  • I will do when home

  • First impression on Ultimate AL is how surprisingly comfy it is. Comfier than CAAD10 with full carbon post.
Some potholes were harsh on my Madone with bendy break-less stays!
Is the VCLS post that good?

Oh and Giant sells a £24.99 stem for 1 1/4 steerers which I am picking up after work.

  • I've just ordered the Ultimate AL today... Good to hear. Why the Giant stem? Different length?

  • Yep mine came with 90mm; I needed 120mm.

  • Can't you ask Canyon to change the stem length?

  • .

  • I didnt buy the frame from them plus if you do they will still ship with the wrong stem and ask you to send it back for the right one.

  • PM me if you want a VCLS seatpost, got a spare one in the flat for mates rates ;)

  • Only negative thing I have to say about alu Canyons is that the seatpost clamps are awful. I've had two die on each of the frames I've owned and plenty of seatpost slippage. Much better off with a cheap Condor clamp.

  • No, but you have to pay a fee to get it changed.

Btw. I semi joined the Crackyon club today. My bb cableguide broke on the secondat ride.....

  • da fuq? how? gotta be some kind of record

  • All of sudden, the chain fell down in the small chainring. Thought that the cable had slipped, but it hadn't it was just a broken cable guide - "easy fix".......

  • Mine

7900 brakes, 5800 shifters, 6800 derailleurs and cassette, Rotor 3D24 cranks with CT2 rings, Kinlin XR200 Novatec SL wheels.
    Rides really well.

  • My friend ordered one of the factory outlet di2 frame.
They sent the invoice with a wrong address, he emailed but got no response from last week.cant get through on the phone either.
Anyone experience something like this yet?

  • Sounds about right for Canyon

  • Sounds nowt like my experience! Between myself and two other mates, zero QC issues of any kind in 2+ years ownership each.

Another lad's just got one, and it seems to be fine after his first few hundred miles.

  • Btw. pics from the day before the cable guide broke (they've send me a new one)

  • That's proper sizing (for my eyes & riding style) - impressed
