If you really need a front rack, is a fork change an option?
Thorn do a very nice steel fork, available in several colours, with enough mounts.

Yeah I thought about it but I want to keep to my budget (kinda...)
So I am gonna have to settle for a rear rack of some sort.
I'd prefer a rack that can support a rack bag on top rather than a pannier bag but we shall see when it comes down to it and I have to compromise...

I was going to suggest swapping forks and try and flog my disc trucker for at the same time (not sure what the Equilibrium's a-c is, but offset the same) but figured it might be too much of a weight penalty for the whole build.
