Haha.
I've been looking at rear racks today. =[
They just don't look as good.
I wonder if pizza could be transported on a rear rack though? Probably...
As much as I like a good calzone...
Andy, as a man well versed with racks and panniers and such...
Any suggestions on a nice looking lightweight rear rack?

I've kind of lost interest in front racks, maybe I just don't buy enough pizza... Got a Wald basket on the recently built hackbike as I had it lying around/it was cheap, sold the porteur rack and just have a front lowrider to bang on the Straggler if/when that sort of capacity is required. Wald do big, light front basket-rack things that mount on axles - not pretty but lighter than the Soma. Think other axle mounted options are TCB or Cetma which both mean US postage... I think @spotter linked to a euro rack earlier today in a different thread, might be worth a look how that mounts...
Lightest affordable rack is probably Tubus Fly, fine for panniers but not great for strapping shit on top. They do bigger ones made from Ti which are nice, light, functional but mega pricey. I think Tortec or Topeak do one that isn't mega heavy and has a reasonable platform on top, not really sure...
Fallback option - get a rear rack and buy calzone...
