Anyone here use a Specialized TT2 helmet? Is it decent?
TT helmet buying a bit like saddle buying and all just an expensive case of trial and error, right?...

Putting different forks and a brake on it for a 10
It wouldn't actually kill Cervelo to leave a hole in their track forks, have they yet to hear of people riding track frames on the road?

Finding the matching fork is going to be a PITA

Cheers :)

Not really. I've only owned two.

I'm sure your local Cervelo dealer will be able to source an FK25 - for about £400 :-)

Turns out my Oval Jetstreams won't fit into the T4 so back on the white bike for tomorrow's 10! Well, they do fit but if I want to turn left or right I'll struggle ...

Turning is for chickens. Brrk! Brrk!

Couldn't you take the Dremel to the dropped down tube and make it fit? :-)

Need to decide on Tubs for my new wheels (25mm wide)
Was thinking either 23mm Vittoria Corsa SC on the front and 25mm on the back
Or
Veloflex Record 22 front and rear...
Or
Dugast Strada Cotton 23 + 25
The Vittoria are cheaper - £90 including their ridiculous valve extenders.... vs £105 for the Records... vs £110 for the Dugast
FMB's a bit too pricey - £130 for a set of Competition CX's...
-
• #9520
I wouldn't bother with the Corsa SCs, they're a road race tub. Records probably a bit faster than Cronos, but a bit more delicate. Dunno about the Dugasts, probably quite nice but if you're gonna go Dugast you might as well get silks.
-
• #9521
Silks are too pricey (and as I understand it even more fragile)
-
• #9522
Well yeah, but that's the price you pay for supreme rolling resistance. I'd got for Cronos I reckon, unless you ride some really shitty surfaces.
-
• #9523
hmm - good point, my local 10 is the u7b which is in truly appalling condition, which is leaning me towards a 23/25 combo
-
• #9524
22m will be fine. It's a TT bike, not a tourer.

trying to find another 50 to do to try to crack 2 hours after Saturdays DNS, and the maidenhead website it says there is a Combine 50 on the 28/06 but I cant find it on the CTT website - any hints about how to enter?
It also says H50/h course, which when I Google it just comes up as H50/8...
any other 50s worth visiting west of London...?
Oh, sorry not even looked at them. They're definitely here though, I can see the bag they're in. I'd get up and have a look but you know I just got off a turbo and walking and effort and epic etc.
I'll get back to you.
